So, you are interested in getting a decent house on the server? If the answer is "yes", then this is the right place to find out how. (More general information can be found in the "Server Information" thread)

To "buy" a house, you must do so with points. This isn't a mod of any kind, or an item you can find in the game. They're given to you by your actions on the server (And can be removed respectively).

This system isn't complete, as we're still deciding what actions give how many points, and we haven't tested it out with an actual live server.

    How do I gain "points"?
Points, on our server, can be accumulated through a number of ways. Mainly, they are given to those who contribute and benefit the server. For instance, helping out with city projects: the coliseum, for example. Whether you're gathering material to give to the builders, or on the scaffolding placing blocks, you will gain these points for contributing to the server.

Building isn't the only way to gather points. When new people join the server, they may need some help getting started. In an effort to make the community a more close-knit one, points can be given for helping others, regulars or beginners.

Another way to gain points would be contributing materials, not necessarily to city projects, but to the Storage Area. The Storage Area is located right at the entrance of the city, and contains a number of crates and a few furnaces. If there are no projects at the time (A rare situation Smile ) this is a great way to gain points. Anyone can put excess materials in it, and anyone can use them for their own projects.

Alternatively, it'd be interesting to set up a buy/sell/trade system, as we do have a "shop" located in the second tier of the city, carved into the mountainside. Valuable items like armor, weapons, equipment and perhaps eventually diamond can be bartered here, once they are in abundance. Wink The shop is open to anyone, and also contains storage containers for whomever is currently using it.

Once I have points, how do I "buy" a house?

Each house listed on this forum will be given a point value. The larger, and more furnished a house is, the more points it will require. Alternatively, others who have purchased a house prior may resell it at a price they choose, assuming they renovate and furnish it.

Once you've "purchased" a house, you may pay a few (low, low price) extra points to expand on it. This does NOT mean go crazy; you must be cautious of other houses/building around you. Also, it wouldn't be fair to buy the cheapest house and make it the biggest. You are limited to an upstairs, annex room and basement. If you are in a tighter community of houses they probably won't run as high of a price, due to limited build space. Accordingly, houses with larger building potential will go for more. -Building will be under moderate regulation to ensure fairness-
